Well, last week was not really too exciting. Monday I paid the bills and did my shopping for the week and then headed for Wammy. Not bad, just a little rain all the way, dense fog from Cheyenne to Laramie, maybe two truck lengths visibility, wind at 45 mph from Laramie to Rawlins, and me with two empty trailers. Coming home wasn't quite a bad as I had freight and the winds died down so I relaxed and enjoyed the ride.
Tuesday was really a nice run. bright moon and clear skies, no wind.
Wednesday, was like Monday, except the fog was lighter and the winds were also.
Thursday was a hang on tight and buckle up and enjoy the ride night. I get a kick out of watching the hurricane weather people telling about how hard the wind is blowing with 45 to 50 mile per hour winds. I face these every night during the winter up here in Wyoming. Not only face them but have crosswinds, tailwinds and the like. This night was one of them. Thank heavens it isn't snowing yet. No ice on the roads to skate on. Made it home okay, no problems.
Friday at about 5pm, I got a phone call saying my meet man was sick and was calling off his end of the run and what did I want to do? So, on a beautiful, clear, calm night I drove to Salt Lake City, Utah and spent the day in a motel with free breakfast, bed, and swim pool. Enjoyed the day to say the least. Turned around and drove home on Saturday night. No excitement on this night.
Won't be long now as the nights are starting to get down into the 30's now. Snow is on the way and then the fun really begins again. Love ya all.

Well I am now running West again. I had my run to Wakeeney, Kansas, cancelled a few weeks
ago, so I am now running back to Wamsutter, Wyoming. It is really beautiful out there right
now. Green grass, antelope, elk, deer and even buffaloe. Of course I only get to see all of this in
the early morning hours as I am heading back to Denver. I get to see the animals as they wander
across the road at night in front of me. I am sorry that Chris and Karen weren't able to move to
Laramie, and go to school there. I would have been able to see them a lot more often, and get to
know my grandkids a lot better and be a little more of their lives. But we all make choices in life
and I made mine and am living to pay for it. I hope all is well with all of you.
