Well I will be traveling on Independence Day, as Michell has decided to move to Denver and so I will be going to Arizona on the 3rd to help her move. She will be staying in the condo and working and getting ready for school. On the 4th, I will hopefully be heading back to Colorado and be moving her into her new home, and setting things up for her so that when she comes up later on it will be ready for her.
Barbara's grandson was also on the trek with Karen and her parents as he lives in the same stake as they do. He has had a lot of problems in his life and in the past three months has become active again and going on splits with the missionaries and enjoying it a lot. He also came home with a burning testimony of the Pioneers and what they had to go through and that God does know him and loves him.
Congratulations to Bill for being called as the new Temple President of the Palmyra Temple. I do wish Him a lot of success with his calling.

Scares Over for now
Well, in case you haven't heard, the cancer on my neck was totally removed and so for now I am breathing again. I will get my new choppers on Thursday, the 9th, and then I can smile again and show some teeth instead of my Arkansas okie smile. I will even be able to do a bitter beer face smile when I want to. Then on Monday I will see my cardiologist again and see if I'm going to live through that escapade. Really he will be a check-up and see what all I need to do to try to stay healthy enough to make it another year. Life plods on and things just seem to keep on rolling along with no help from me and I just keep plodding along in my own way of managing to screw things up to one extent or another, and never seem to be able to see the light of day because I am sleeping then and driving my life away at night. Hope everything is going okay for everyone and that things are good in your lives. Karen, I thank you for your pictures of the little ones and do so appreciate them.

Bad News
Last week I went to the Dr. and and had a couple of spots checked out on my back that kept getting sore to see what was going on and the Dr. said nothing there to worry about. Then he looked at a spot on my neck and said he had never seen anything like it and didn't like the way it looked, as it was a little red where my seat belt rubbed it and kept it irritated. So he took a small biopsey and turned it into the lab. Well, I got the news yesterday that it was cancerous and that I needed to have it removed. So, on March 4th, I will go see the cardiologist in the morning so that I can keep my meds for hypertension going to control the bi-polar, and in the afternoon I will have the spot on my neck removed. Exciting day, you think? Well that' the news for now. I will let you know later what happens. If I can anyway.

New run
Well it has been some time since I had to actually sit down and add a newpage to my blog.
I am now running to a new destination. I am now running to Gothenburg, Nebraska. That is 30 miles east of Northplatte, Nebraska. That is a little over half way to Omaha, Nebraska. I haul freight going to the Omaha and Minniapolis areas. The roads are flatter and less snow and wind and ice normally. It can get ugly out there, but no where near as mean as Wyoming. They seem to take care of thier roads better and things are much calmer on the whole.
Last weekend, Jesse had his Pinewood Derby and he got third place with the Webelo's group but didn't get to run in the overall finals. I finally figured out what was wrong with his car and changed the weights on his car around and in the time they gave for the "grudge" matches, Jesse beat everyone who raced in the finals except for the boy who won the overall race. He even ran his car backwards, and beat the winner of the Webelo's division.
I hope everyone is okay and healthy. Oh yes, Angel is having her 11th birthday party this Saturday, even though her birthday was on the 22nd of January. They got a Wii for Christmas so they will be playing games all day.
well that is all for now. I look forward to seeing most of you in May at Mom and Dad's 65th anniversary party.

my life
Well, last week was not really too exciting. Monday I paid the bills and did my shopping for the week and then headed for Wammy. Not bad, just a little rain all the way, dense fog from Cheyenne to Laramie, maybe two truck lengths visibility, wind at 45 mph from Laramie to Rawlins, and me with two empty trailers. Coming home wasn't quite a bad as I had freight and the winds died down so I relaxed and enjoyed the ride.
Tuesday was really a nice run. bright moon and clear skies, no wind.
Wednesday, was like Monday, except the fog was lighter and the winds were also.
Thursday was a hang on tight and buckle up and enjoy the ride night. I get a kick out of watching the hurricane weather people telling about how hard the wind is blowing with 45 to 50 mile per hour winds. I face these every night during the winter up here in Wyoming. Not only face them but have crosswinds, tailwinds and the like. This night was one of them. Thank heavens it isn't snowing yet. No ice on the roads to skate on. Made it home okay, no problems.
Friday at about 5pm, I got a phone call saying my meet man was sick and was calling off his end of the run and what did I want to do? So, on a beautiful, clear, calm night I drove to Salt Lake City, Utah and spent the day in a motel with free breakfast, bed, and swim pool. Enjoyed the day to say the least. Turned around and drove home on Saturday night. No excitement on this night.
Won't be long now as the nights are starting to get down into the 30's now. Snow is on the way and then the fun really begins again. Love ya all.

Well I am now running West again. I had my run to Wakeeney, Kansas, cancelled a few weeks
ago, so I am now running back to Wamsutter, Wyoming. It is really beautiful out there right
now. Green grass, antelope, elk, deer and even buffaloe. Of course I only get to see all of this in
the early morning hours as I am heading back to Denver. I get to see the animals as they wander
across the road at night in front of me. I am sorry that Chris and Karen weren't able to move to
Laramie, and go to school there. I would have been able to see them a lot more often, and get to
know my grandkids a lot better and be a little more of their lives. But we all make choices in life
and I made mine and am living to pay for it. I hope all is well with all of you.
